nope no changer in the glove box. Yeh want to keep it looking oem.
Am i right in thinking that i can run a adapter from the back of the standard headunit to the glovebox?

yes its an option extra from factory, my a3 had it and my tt does, charges ipod too which most dont. the reason i asked out the changer is that you can only have 1 or the other as the HU only has 1 output. get down to VW and get the fittin for it in the glovebox and the lead although can possibly use an aftermarket lead.

They were around £100 when I worked at Audi 2 1/2 years ago. Glovebox out, headunit out, drill hole in glove box, fit wiring as per instructions, connect leads to module. Refit. Charges iPod and use HU to change tracks.
