Well took advantage of the good weather today. Got some bits done that I have wanted to do for a while. Pretty mundane stuff like new top mounts, fitting new underseat connectors so i dont get my airbag light periodically appearing again just stuff I really wasnt feeling like doing.

Got pretty effed of with the top mounts knocking, as you can see they were a bit foooked:

Also got some lens covers for the headlights, mainly for use when i fit my joey modded headlights as i dont want them getting damaged.

I have another headlight washer cover on order.

Also on the hunt for some new coilovers as the joms are starting to show their age a bit by spitting oil all over the wheel arch Rolling Eyes

quite like some decent handling ones really now. Not just for dickhead lows. There is a set of second hand nearly new weitecs on edition for £200 im looking at.

I think Weitec's are a sub-company of KW.
Always heard good things about them, so don't blame you for going down that route.

Yeah think Stampers be right, think they use KW shock bodies etc and something like eibach springs on the weitecs, there great coilovers mayne.

KW shock bodies are stainless. weitecs basically use the same internals with just a galvernized body. Really like them on my VR Smile

Yeah from what I read weitecs are zinc galvanised. I would probably waint the bodies before i fitted them anyway to preserve them a bit longer.

Well with one thing and another the golf is going to be off the road again for a couple of months thinking late march - early april when I can get the bike back on the road. Mainly because in april my insurance, mot and tax all come at once, lack of a job right now makes it a bit difficult! Rolling Eyes

However it means I have time to sort the bits out on it like having the new sills fitted, having my bumpers resprayed along with a fresh set of weitecs. Should be getting my splitties back from being rerurbed early next week along with finding some time this weekend to get my barrels painted.

It got treaded to its first wash and wax of the year yesterday anyway "Sesil" The Mk4 20VT 680462

I wish these didnt only come in 20"
