£54.00 for the mot. Don't do the test here, but do the work if it fails on anything. How low is your car? We could Mike's Mk1 Jetta on our ramps...That was very low.

pretty sure 54 quid is the VOSA reccomended price for an m.o.t.

So they aren't really being expensive, just alot of other garages are doing m.o.t's cheaper these days.

just a nominal fee... hour rate to Fendubbers is £30 hr should be £45....

Yeah the recommened rate is 50quid i think, but i dont know a garage over my way that charges that, its a competative market so i guess they adjust their prices accordingly.

I've had a bit of work done at Tinklers, tyres, service, gearbox problem investigations (and fixing) and various other little bits and bobs.

I was very impressed with them. I've had garages try and milk me for every penny they can get but Tinklers were completely straight with me. I now use them for all my cars and any of the work I'm not happy to do myself.

Admitedly none of you on here know me so my recomendations aren't really worth alot but just thought I'd share my experiences with you.
