| me and a "female friend" are looking at going away for a nice holiday and have narrowed it down to Turkey or Thialand.
has any one been to either of these places? we want to experianc the culture as opposed to drink, drink, drink.
does anyone know the best place for flights? is it best to go all inc. or organise it all yourself?
cheers, dean | |

| Thailand's not a safe place to go to at the moment. With rioting in Bangkok people were advised not to go there. That could well be over by then though I'm not sure.

| Hmmmmmmmmmmm .....I'd say neither Apart from the trouble at the moment thialand is p**s up lads or back pack holiday, not really fit for just a brake with a 'female friend'.. (spent two months back packing with a girlfreind) Turkeys nice, but ..................... that's about it , ok if you dont want to do much and the beaches... even their crem de la crem aint fantastic...( uncle lives their so been a few times ) What's your budget dude, and what exactly do you want from the experience....( apart from the lady friend ) | |

| I went to Turkey last year and loved it. Went all inclusive for a week and found the people very friendly, good food and very cheap out of the resort we were staying because it's not the euro. Gets very hot though in peak season, i went begining of May last year and it was in the 30's. Never been to Thailand. | |

| i'd def chose thailand, but you've got no way of going there at the moment. the home office have banned people from going there for the time being cos of the riots. | |

(i think) should be enough i hope. | |

| iv been thailand twice, its amazing there, i'd choose that anyday, gota go to the islands in the south, amazing beaches, good parties, ridiculously cheap, cant go wrong, but if you wana steer clear of all the people partying theres nice quiet places aswell if you go the right areas. if you go on skyscanner.net you should find cheep flights and transport when your there, from island to island etc is dirt cheep | |
