| awesomes! will be keeping an eye on this thread, car looks proper tidy in the pics. shame about the head gasket, but great oppurtunity! have you got a turbo in mind? spec? what manifold are you going to use? what management are you going to run? sorry for all the questions but turbo'd MK3's make me go weak at the knees........ (not the tdi variety so much) | |

| im straying towards a garrett t04z its a bit overkill for how im going to run it at the moment but keeps me open to more tuning and more power lol, only down side is it cost £1100 iv got the exhaust manifold and short inlet manifold, the exhaust one iv had for ages think its ATP not sure and the short inlet i got from UD the other week as for the management im undecided yet need to look into it and cost etc i'll post some pics of the manifolds asap | |

i'll post some pics of the manifolds asap go big or go home.... i've heard of T04Z's to push 700bhp on the right set-up so should be good for future tuning, assumed you'd just use a normal run of the mill T4..... i like it when a build thread does something different! ah so you've been thinking about it for a while then, makes things slightly easier if you've already kinda planned it and started aquiring parts. can't wait to hear this when its finished! | |

| Sweeeet! liking this alot! Dread to think what condition my chain tensioners are in lol! Still undecided on what to do with mine, gonna do the chains etc end of this year or next year and i was just gonna cam and remap it but a charger is very tempting... lol Cant wait to see/hear yours tho when its done | |

| you went for the spacer gasket then! just out of curiosity as the turbo is "good for 700bhp" won't you be getting a stupid amount of lag from it being so big? | |
