hey,
i meant to take all the plastic trim off my mk2 today
(arch trim and side trim) and basicly side trim came off easily but arch trim is kind of bolted with some bolts that i cant unscrew, i that mean that i have to drill thru?

if they are rusted you will have to drill em. go easy tho

arches are held on with rivets which you will have to drill out

unless someone has replaced the rivets with screws, which if their knackered you will still have to get the drill out

sounds like a job for weekend then Smile, only problem is where i have my side trim it will leave `6holes in the door and rear 1/4 panel

no way of getting round the holes unless you weld them up mate

so if i was you i would put the side trims back on until you can afford bodywork and just remove the arch spats.

i did this on my MK3 and fitted CL trims on the side, you need to buy a complete set as it has the end caps the fill the hole where the arch trim would have fitted on the bottom corner. They are normally a textured finished but i had mine smoothed and sprayed gloss black, The rivets are quite soft so should easily drill out
