the mk1

okay to everyone who see this car up for sale well you saw this




well this was not the case when i went to go see it.

there was a white front bumper and the rear was broken
the passenger side door handle was no where to be found..
there is two small but bad dents in the derivers door where the last owner fort it was a good plan to put bricks on top of the car with a cover :(



i had to do something about the wheels so i took them of and put these on

iv now taken these of now taken them to guys to sand blast them..
so i put matts wheels from his on



this is the reason y im gonna keep the bumpers for now its out of shape


if any one knows any thing about the front end of this could you please tell me thanks more pics to come of things iv sand blasted and that will be ready for paint and stuff...

haha its got a alloy one and its in a garage away from rain

looks cool, even the colour looks good now

Looks better already you say the fronts out of shape is the bonnet fully closed?

looks loads better, what do the panel gaps look like at the back of the wing as from that picture it looks more like a twisted bonnet as they arent very strong.

edit : Also.. cant beat a bit of honest advertising then LOL

no the front pic of this its not closed if you have a look where the bumper ment to be on the right side you can see its out of shape even if you look at the grill on the right side it looks like it sags

the bonet is okay i did not close it lol and yeah i love people who r honest was a right p**s take but i wanted the car so what do you do

hey everyone iv got the old bbs from my mate of his red golf and i wanted to clean them up so here is what i got so far its not done but still looks better all i can say is thanks GUY for lettin me use the sand blaster


would never of been able to do this without the help from guy

looking good dude, what colour you going with on them? what about the dent in the other wheel?,I found guy to be very helpful, especially for parts . just seen the start of the thread shame about it being mis sold, looks better without the bumpers off tbh

hey im gonna do the wheels back sliver thinkin with a black and sliver center cap.. not sure.. i donno what im gonna do about the lips because i dont have much money so spend on them really, ill most probs just try tidy them up as much as i can. (guy is very helpful indeed)

when i fisrt see the car i was shocked but when you like a car so much and see the full potential you have got to get it. but i do wish he told some truth on the add. im goin back with bumpers because of the front ill put a red ring round it so ppl can c what im on about

its the same with my porsche wheels dude if i keep them that is i could put the money towards having the lips polished but i need it for getting bits painted etc just running the lips satin back for now

kewl kewl.. well its all them same lol money money money well i will keep everyone posted with what i do to the wheels

i think im gettin abit carried away with the sand blasting just getting things done now so i dont have to worry when it comes to changes the engine AGAIN WORK FROM GUYS HOUSE :p



now i want to paint this gloss black but i dont want it to flake any ideas would not go a miss right now

mate this car looks brilliant, shame about the dodgy advertising but with phoenix18 selling it i would have had doubts.. but youve cleaned it up brilliantly

honestly i think wheels like the ones you have on at the min would suit it more, but then im a fan of a bit of poke on mk1's

whera bouts are you in litteport mate? would love to come round and see this sometime

i picked this up today 19.01.10 its been layin about in his work shop for months on end so looks bit crap but after little clean and guys sand blaster to get the red of should be good

Looks good Chris, by the way you described it on the phone its much better than that, shame about the dodgy red calipers and discs though, cant guess whats going to happen to them shortly !

yeah it looks better than the pic its just got loads of dust and stuff like that and YEAH ur right mate if you dont mind me takin over ur work shop again.. i cant stand the red buddy
