| hi there cupcake welcome to the site sounds like youve got the same problems as me with your heaters hope it helps. QUICK HEATERS BY GALheres what to tell your boyfriend to do or so not to sound sexist ahem lol you can do or maybe best i could do if you bring it over: when the engine is cold find the 2 pipes which go into your car through the bulkhead inline on the hoses you should have a pear of pressure valves jubilee clipped inline with a smaller pipe connecting them. next undo the jubilee clips and pull out the valves then get a peice of copper tube the same size as the inside diameter of the hoses and cut 2 peices the same length if not a little longer than the valves then push them into both hoses and do up the jubilee clips very tight. and there you go you should have heat for the winter but maybe try to souce a couple of new valves trouble is vw dont make them anymore so might be hard or like me just forget it lol there basically there so the heater rad doesnt burst but to be honest i dont think mine will so its upto you. i actually used my vw wheel brace and cut that up lol as its an exact fit plus its galvanized looks cool as its got vdub down one of the bits of pipe lol hope this helps if not bring it over one weekend and i'll take a ganda cheers Gal | |
