| rebuild my 1.6 golf mk2 engine? I had few quotes from people i know, but they all said aroud 800quid... which is quite expensive for rebuilding 1.6. Does anyone here does this kond of job, or maybe any one here knows someone who does? Basicly... before you start having a go at me for rebuilding 1.6. I dont want a fast car, i want a nice, good runner that will take me from a's to b's. I really dont care on car's performance... well i do but im not too fast about speed. | |

Makes sense to go for the cheaper option first I reckon. | |

| yeah i agree, you should be able to get a 1.6 lump for peanuts. i tried to sell one for £60, then £40, then tried to give it away. in the end i scrapped it. might aswell just get another one and take the chance that it will be knackered | |
