| Well here it is , my bird bought this for my xmas present, the base shell for my vr conversion. Its a 1300cl with engine half out and most of the interior out too but included. Its as straight as they come and been hiding in a garage its whole life, theres one or two little bits of rust on it but all the sills are good and theres a couple of shopping trolley dings in it. About as good as you get for the three sheckles and a packet of fags my lady paid for it.... What ya think ? | |

looks clean i must say The polo has had to go to make way for it, so I'm thining them down slowly, the 5dr mk2 will be up and running in the near future so theres one more space plus i cleared the old dog run out so I gained a little room there, then when the 20v comes out of the mk4 theres another space as Ill bin the shell. I'll have to shuffle a bit but once the mk2's done I'll sell her bmw that im running around in, then when her highline has the 20v engine from the mk4 I'll sell her pug and she'll have the highline 20v, then its all guns to get the vr engine into the mk2 but on itb's so its not so bad, and when the mk2 vr is done i'll sell the 5 door mk2. so we will be down to 2 cars, my mk2 vr and her mk3 20v. Then I'll just have the 20v to stick in the mk1 thats hiding in the first workshop and its all gravy and time to start all over again.... lol But I see why you would be concerned, I've had to sell the idea to rachel and if it wasnt water tight theyd be all gone... believe me. | |

| I've been busy buying little bits for it and storing them away. I'll be emptying the interior and engine gearbox, glass etc well stripping it bare bar the bumpers and outing it all on the bay in readiness for the vr on itbs that'll come from my mk3 including all the a/c, abs, dash, running gear etc. I've been saving for this thing for years and have the project furmly fixed in my mind. It'll take an age to do but it'll be worth it. And yes she's really a good girl, they didnt make many like her. | |
