how ever much you can pick up a VR6 car for.

you are really going to need a doner car. i was thinking about doing this swap a while back.

you really have to ask your self is it worth it? im guessing the vr6 will have lots more mods then your 1.4 (aka electric windows, AC, abs etc) so putting all that across will be hassle. plus the seats and all the other bits and bobs. then swapping the engine, loom, gearbox, hubs etc.

it would be a hell of a lot easier to take what you want out of your 1.4 and put it in the vr6 then the other way round. vr6 51732

how you gonna afford the insurance having a vr put in your golf then? would be more to insure than a normal vr6

like billy said dont build what you can buy... just buy a VR, if you have to worry about cost of insurance cost of buying bits etc you probably cant afford to run or insure one no offence

Also the age old answer... "if you have to ask.... you probably shouldnt do it"

Well yeah, in which case youd be royally fucked from every angle and rightly so. basically equates to driving with no insurance.

im serious i was pulled and they looked under my bonnet , its when i ripped my exhaust off and it was real loud. they asked to look under my bonnet, i wouldnt let them just to be annoying, but they pretty much forced me to open it. they dont always do it but the do some times.

also with a vr your obviously gonna be having fun in it and if the police see you they are gonna think why is that 1.4 goin so fast?
