| Right iv finally had a chance to crack on again with the car, where it was last just got the new head on, put everything back together and couldnt get the engine to fire was turning over just not firing couldnt figure it out so when i got home bit pissed off just decided to try nd sell the engine and bought a new one, 1.6 with exhaust system for 60 quid from jackc which im yet to pick up, so continuing on with what iv done.. so engine out - is up for sale for whatever amount only 86000m on it, will come with the old cylinder head aswell. Tidied up the bay abit, had to leave the box in as was bit of a bugger trying to take it out, plans for later on probably monday will be to take thwe box out and evrything else that i can and prep the bay to be sprayed, probably go for black. the lip on the boonet that i started working on ruined my favourite jumper by ripping it when i got snagged on the end, so me having a hissy fit went at it with a grinder for revenge took it off completely and left some lovely little chips in the bonnets edge from when i went to far :/ cant really tell from the pic what the damage is tho, i know some of you will be quite happy to see the back of that sacriligous boser lip but unfortunatly for you i havent given up on it im going to get another bonnet later on and do it on that while leaving the red one on the golf for now. all of this took me over an hour and half and had to chip off so decided to quickly take off the black rubber bits on the tailgate where it evend with the gti spoiler managed to bare metal it in some places where i went to heavily handed with the DA but still all good i reckon if the weather holds for the next couple of weeks il have it all ready to be sprayed after 3 days work max so i shall update then | |

| well wheeled it out and had lil while to put bits nd pieces back together didnt have a chance to wash it or polish it so il do it later on but in the mean time heres some more pics of it while its in the sun. head lights in. indicators and wing mirrors on rear window in and the plastic thing me jig in the plate recess on, obviously wasnt put on when the car was sprayed will have to do that later on probs just do it black with halfords arosel can. i noticed that there wasnt really any pics of the interior so heres a couple for the mo till i clean em up. now one thing that has to be said regarding the spray job is... as much as i wanted to do it, i actually didnt the car was sprayed on friday just gone but my dad seeing as he was bored and i was at college i spose he thought he'd do it to surprise me or summit i dunno lol thanking him very much anyways, but what u cant see in the pics is the amount of bloody runs he's got in the body and on the bonnet and on the bonnet there wasnt a good enough job of wet nd drying and in some other places on the body, that being said il admit that thats probably my fault but if i where to have sprayed it i would of wet nd dryed the entire body again before i did. but anyways back to the the topic of the runs il have to use some 1600 grit on them as it is an extremely fine grit and rub em off completely then polish and buff up, so i shall update then. to get the golf road worthy now all i need is to either get my 1300 fixed or sold so that i can buy another engine which i do have lined up from some one but im, to skint to buy at mo lol im guna save up for some half decent coilovers instead of using the lowering coils on my standard struts, i would like to get some nice alloys for it preferably ats cups or some other 7j rims but for the mo il keep the standards on it, also need to get a new grill for it as the blue one iv got is terribly ugly and needs to be burnt but is up for sale as i need the money lol also need some rear lights for it and thats alli can actually think of at mo even tho theres probs loads m,ore that i need to do lol so yeh heres ma sprayed golf theres whats left that i need to do so what does you fine ppls think??? lol | |

| right on half term from college so got anotha day at my unit to get bit more work done, started off with re timing the engine, was about to put the gearbox back on but the bolts on the clutch cover have gone missing and i didnt have any around so thats guna have to wait till iv got more :@ decided to put the lowering coils onto it started with the front but didnt have time for the back cuz of the bloody rain, bearing in mind theres no engine at moment its pretty low, and theres a fook load of weight in the boot as well standard strut out. First bilstein lowering coil on off side on a standard strut who knows how long that'll last for Pic of the one side done Now other side down, also with bilstein lowering coil on standard strut Both sides done Spose now all i gotta do is obvioulsy the rear and sort out some half decent rims for it like 16's or clean up and spray the steels on there now, opinions anyone? bearing in mind im skint . | |
