just thought id post it up here for any1 that was interested! i have just become the proud owner of a miami blue 205 gti 1.9 with a nice lil twist!

the car from outside has standard body, interior etc appart from 309 gti goodwood wheels and slammed on its arse! but its the engine that way intereset you lot.....

it has got a 1.9 16v mi16v engine from a 405 mi16 running on piper cams, oil catcher, uprated fuel pump, 1.6 gearbox, stand alone ecu and then the best bit..... 45mm jenvey throttle boddies with itg performance flow filters!

its is an amimal at 192 bhp and its still needs setting up and mapping correctly!

i will get some more pics of it asap mate now that i have it lol! no major problems with it im just getting the mapping sorted but atm is a 192.7 bhp and then we run out of time to finish it! i no its not vag but i mite even bring it up to the meet sometime just to show it to all of you petrol heads out there that would like to see it! obv once its all mapped! im hoping for 215bhp when its all done but it is quite hard to break the 200bhp barrier on standard internal so will have to see how it all goes!

This is the 2.4 mi16 I built for my mate Richy.

my new toy! Mi205021
my new toy! Mi205022

It made 256 brake on the rollers on emerald with 51mm itbs.
It was a proper labour of love but the most awesome thing is the torque its over 200lbft at just over tick over compared to the 188lbft a standard Mi16 makes at full chat.
Its on a cti gearbox as it has the best ratios with lsd.
It has consumed the best part of 6k to build.
With the fact that the car only weighs in at 850kg with me and a full tank of fuel it really goes like the clappers.

From the end of the trumpet to the head is 310mm including the curveture of the inlet pipes, we have two sets of injectors one firing at the back of the valve and one at the tb end, they were staged for about 4400rpm and yes its mental. The inlet manifold is spaced back 6mm on a tufnol (heat inert plastic fibrerous material) plinth.the temperature of the inlet manifold drops so low that water condences on the outside of it readily and you wouldnt want to touch it after a good thrash its that cold. for every 6 degree C you can lower your intake temperature by you gain 1 free horse power. It runs a (perter taylor) stage 2 inlet cam on the exhuast and a (pt) stage 3 inlet cam on the inlet, it has massive inlet valves which are wasted with 3 angled seats. I flowed the head myself and it is the best job I have ever done, I fecked up 3 heads seeing how far i could go with it. In the first three months of running this around for richy while he was on tour in afghanistan I broke three pairs of driveshafts, eventually giving in and getting recoprop to make me some that were man enough for the job.
The car has now gone off to have the rear end turreted and a cage fully fitted. I am really looking forward to seeing it again in the new year. It is the only car that isnt a vw that i really enjoy driving, it makes you sharpen your skills and will bite you in the arse as soon as you look away for even half a second. When it comes back I'll stick it up here and you are welcome to come and be a passenger in it, i never got bored of driving it, it made me laugh like a drain when I went giant killing in it.

It has better power to weight than any Msport car, breaks the magical 100 brake a litre barrier with aplomb (256bhp:2.4litr), has a torque curve as flat as fen farmers field plus it looks as innocent as hell as it is about three different shades of red and its got really gash nasty rims on, but it goes like mad goes round the bends and pulls like a train in any gear.

I really hate admitting it but i love it, but I wouldn't want to own it.
