PostSubject: Re: Mk3 Golf Cab - The End.   Mk3 Golf Cab - The End. - Page 6 EmptyThu Jun 24 2010, 23:03

Another month...another update!!

Things have been slow with the cab for the past 4 weeks, mainly due to making other peoples wheels look good!!

I have managed to slot in a day or two so here's what's new:

Full black carpet and interior, cheers Mr Ford for lending a hand and helping get it all sorted...not so much of a thanks to Ant for wedging my accelerator pedal down on some plastic trim trying to kill me!!! Mk3 Golf Cab - The End. - Page 6 298631

Again Jim helped me fit my new sub and amp...just the twelve inches but that will suffice for now..oh and the sub too...BOOM!!

Bumpers smoothed, about another hours prep etc to go

Vento front which will be painted soon enough Mk3 Golf Cab - The End. - Page 6 Icon_biggrin

Well that's about it i guess, i'll get some pics up over the weekend of the various bits, paint should be done by early august but that wil depend on me pulling my finger out and getting the paint and the car ready for said paint...here's my next to do list

Contact Voodoo about adjuster rings

Make some sort of boot install and tidy everything up

Buy paint

Roll arches

Sort few rust blemishes and get dents sorted and in primer

Think that's about it... Mk3 Golf Cab - The End. - Page 6 Icon_geek

Sorry jon weren't in when you came over dude - we'll sort the other bits out when I'm back yeah?

And we're still down for rolling our arches together yeah? Jon might want to do his at the same time if his new arches are welded in in time..

I still don't get why people get GERMAN pressed plates.
Pressed plates themselves are great, but your car isn't a German version. It's an English one. Plus I think that the English font on pressed plates works better as most people dont have the little date/tax stickers that the German guys do. Each to their own I guess.

Besides my ranting, it makes the rear look better.
Well done. Very Happy

What?
You do realise that isn't a legit UK font right?
It's based on the German font style, but on UK spec plates with the GB logo.
So its a hash up of UK spec with German font.

The idea is for it to look like a German plate. After seeing them tonight, they are a pretty good quality though!
Better than Jimmy's "Completely-black-with-a-yellow-sticker-overlay" plates. Those are just retarded. Razz

Didn't notice the font was German style. But as there a UK spec with the GB logo i doubt the Police will worry much there is worse plate's about they could pull people for.
