mk3 gti 8 valve, reverse keeps jumping out of gear when clutch peddle is fully rleased, any solutions or tricks to solve this ass of a problem?

I would say you gear linkage is worn. you can buy repair kits from ebay and gsf.

Do you go that fast in reverse that it tries to rip ya hand off then?

must have rotated the cam 360 degrees gives a sh1te load of power but rips hands off in reverse

thanks for the advice, no it barely moves then pops out! only done it since i put in the new clutch, it does make a huge bang before vioelently jumping out of reverse, i done it the first time and it was enough to make me not want it to happen in the same way twice! with my hand gently resting on the gear stick then having the stick jump out of reverse and snap my hand back on itself wernt too good!

Id say linkage just needs adjusting abit then, if it was ok before. its prob jsut not quite back in the right place from having the box out to do the clutch.
