| Hi peoples. Im on ECDC, have a met a few of u and was at the last meet. You all seem a good bunch so 4t id join ur forum, hope u dont mind. I currently drive a mk1 a3 1.8T. Had it awhile but only recently have decided to start modding. Not done alot to it yet but have a few plans. Coilovers should be delivered today and have just got me bought me 4 x 18" saver steelies to band (influenced by polo steph's bandys, sooo nice btw) ... cant wait! Currently running TT comps. Quite fancy a caddy tho, 1 day once happy wit a3. Im also an extreme sports man. BMX, snowboarding, skateboarding, anything i could potentially hurt myself doing i seem to enjoy :S Theres actually a photo of me on BMX hop-tailwhip at dodgydubbers taken by Caddyrage Anyways, look forward to meeting / speaking to everyone at the next meet or maybe e38 if i go | |

Got a quote from bandedsteels.co.uk to do 4 x 18" savers banded to 8" for £380, then another £180 to powdercoat. Il prob go 8's on front and 9's on rear tho. Also thinking polished but not sure how possible that is or who could do it. Where u get urs done?

| Have you checked your pcd of the 18in space savers dan?
Your car is 5/100 the same as TT hence you running comps. All the other modern audi's are 5/112

Where u get urs done? hmm £380 sounds a bit steap but i know prices have gone up since i had mine done, ive had mine probs nearly 2 yrs, was a very slow process lol. ya powder coating sounds a bit much too, i can pm u sum details if u want. 8 n 9's FTW!! polishing them wud probs not be such a good idea they will just rust, mine have started to go in the centre where the band is n i dont run mine very often. i got mine done at widewheels.co.uk think they r under new management, the bloke that sorted mine out was a cock!

I got another quote from johnsons ironmongers in kings lynn to powdercoat at £25 a wheel, much better. I had one of my bike frames done by them too so know they are good. Dont know about price of banding tho, i guess they'l be abit more as are 18's, i dont really know of anywhere else that would do it for cheaper. I think the quote i got may be the same place u got urs done. I think mine may be a little while before i get em on, not too long i hope. Yeah some details would be cool, cheers
