ah yeah i know what you mean about the lag by wire.. Foot down... nothing... nothing.... oh here it comes its polled all the sensors, realised ive asked for some acceleration, checked everything on the engine to see if i can have it.... then gives it to me. Piece of crap. Also think the 8v PDs seem much perkier and responsive than the 16v ones. Like the one mother had in her fabia VRS and the one in gem's ibiza.

I seem to have found a way to lower my fuel consumption on the golf.. Drop the bloody thing on the floor so i cant use my lead foot lol.

Any idea what box the cabby has in it? Whats the gearing like? IE hows it revving at say motorwayspeeds(legal ones i mean:lol!Smile

They fit them to G60's these days mate and also highly tuned valver's.

Better top end than standard valver box's

Believe me mate, your motor will be churning out plenty of power to spin up the wheels Wink
Mate of mine is using 1 on his G60 and his mate is using 1 on his valver.

Maybe after a GTD box myself but will fit a mk1 8v gti 1 for now.

If ya after balls out acceleration, you need a mk1 1.6 gti box.

02A has sprung loaded output flanges as well doesnt it? Much kinder on CVs, shafts etc. Also like you say hydraulic clutch and generally a stronger box.

yeah do believe ur right tiz, i think the 02A is a pretty good alround box really, give decent pick up and has a high enough 5th gear for cruising and can handle fair amount of power in standard form aswell
