the mk2

thought i would makea thread about how the mk2 has come from when i first got it!

i got the car about a year ago after swapping it with a red caddy pick up truck that i had,
when i got the car it was on some 14" steelies no audio whatsoever but ran fine and was a 2nd car for me at the time anyways!

heres a piccie of when i first got it


it stayed like this til after e38 last year apart from putting some music into the beast,

then these happened to me!




the wellers were 8x13 with an offset of -10 so they stuck out the arches by a mile, i couldnt decide wether to put some g60 arches on and cut the metal back or to get the arches extended,
this is when brad came to the rescue and sorted the arches out for me!

i really had trouble running 13's round my way with the speed bumps and everything and was catching on anything in the road! this is when i decided i needed bigger wheels cos there was no way i was raising the car!

thats when i got these


and this is how she sits at the moment until i pull my finger out!

Really like your car mate, very clean. Ya splits our nearly like how mine will be on my pick up

funnily enough i put one on yesterday! trying to find a genuine front bumper though! pain in the ar$e

whats wrong with the 1 you have?

really wanted a genuine one, if not i will just paint the one on there now, it looks pony as the bloke who had it before me sprayed it shodily!

love your mk2 mate from what i have seen in the pics (missed the last meet), if it were mine i reckon i would bung small bumpers on there but thats just me!

yeah was gonna go for small bumpers but the big bumpers hide some sins from what the last owner had done!

fair play, still looks as it is!

decided on narrower rims as i was more after the tucked look than anything else, i did like the old rm's but i think they were a bit too much.

got the vr chin spoiler on, i think it is the one of the mk3 but am not 100% on that

what you all think on the car now??
