STOLEN

I recently had a couple of unwelcome guests at my lock-up in
North Cambridgeshire and they left with about
a grands worth of kit. What they won’t
have known is that I took photos of some of the bits there to remind me of what
was up there as it’s not near to where I live.
Much of the stuff stolen was new bits for a project and the new bits
included chrome filters for 40 carbs, bolt-on rockers with swivel feet adjusters,
bolt-on rocker covers, full set of shocks, brake pads, and a lot more Gucci bits
besides. Some of the used bits included
an adjustable beam with white shocks, an engine (Engine No D1237455), Karmann
Ghia door, a set of 4 leather Reccaro seats from a BMW 635 in a very rare
light beige/grey colour with brown piping, a set of centreline alloys, a set of
Alfa Romeo alloys, a petrol scooter, lime green roller pedal, and numerous
other odds and sods. Obviously some of
these items were a 2-man lift so it wasn’t a solo affair.

Now, in attempt to catch those responsible I’m publishing
the photos of some of the kit stolen. If
you know of the whereabouts of any of these items, or have been offered any for
sale then please let me know by either PM or mail to franmcconachie@hotmail.com. Alternatively you can ring the police on 0845
4564564 quoting crime reference CF0223140509.
If you have already bought some of these items as I am willing to let
you keep the stolen items if it helps to catch those who stole the stuff in the
first place. Please let me know as you could
be next. Here’s the photos.

Hey Folks, guess what - the Bast**ds came back and had another go. I didn't think there was much left they would be interested in but, one new bolt ripped out, and they stole a new wall mounted water heater (Heatrae Saida Express), and unbolted the bonet and boot from the pre-67 looking beetle that was there. The fact that they didn't bother with the 2 doors or 6 wings that were sat loose tells me they weren't after stuff to weigh in but specifically targeting those items - which in turn suggests that they are probably VW enthusiasts. Shocked The other thing is that this second attack happened between the 14 and 21 of May so they are also probably local. affraid

Below is a couple of photos of the latest stolen items, just in case you see them around, and if your local back street VW place suddenly has a new heater, please let me or the police know.

Hate to say this, but it sounds like somone who knows what you have and where it is. I have found a lot of people cannot be trusted, it isn't necessarily them who did it but someone they know. Let it be known to everyone you know that you have been the victim of theft and then......... watch their eyes.
