| Stupid question, but how does it work?
I'm buying a set of Borbet As 7.5 all round and want to know what my options are? Currently has 205/45/16s.
I know 16 is the rim diameter, 45 is the profile so is 205 the width? to stretch do i look at making the 205 smaller?
any recommendations please?
cheers |

| stretch is reduction in tyre width, so in this instance a 195 would be the next width down to fit. saw a website the other day with shed loads a different sized tyres/wheels. think its tyrestretch.com? |

| smaller width.
the pro's do it by shootin at massive amount of air in the tyre in one quick burst in order to pop the tyre beed on to the wheel (to effectively seal the tyre) |

| 205 is the width and the 45 is the percentage of the width making up the profile so that would be low profile but prob not stretched |

| 165/45 looks scary i would, but needs to be practical and because im planning on driving to a few festivals with a car load am i going to be risking doing some severe damage? 195/45 sounds alright.. is there such thing as 185/45? |

| ive got 165/50 on my 7's even thought they are 15's. they look good but i wouldnt want to go for much more specialy if you want to corner hard, and you get chips on the lips of your wheels too if you have looads of stretch |
