US Spec...

ive suddenly got a strange interest in getting a US spec VW golf.... ithink its coming from having a little drive round the mildenhall area

anyone got any ideas on like an US import garages?

If you know anyone that gets on the bases, they have wot they call the Lemon Lott where the older yanks are sold off. There has often been a few Rabbits for sale for little money.

i have an uncle whos a Lt Col, we got into an American Army base in germany once on the way home from an amry skiing trip

would he be able to get into RAF Mildenhall?

like we just stopped to get some food and walk around the one in germany

Im stationed at Lakenheath and there is not a single us spec vw in sight on the lemon lot. I haven't been on mildenhall for about a week but i can surely check for you if you'd like tomorrow

Its been a year or 2 since I got on base.
If anyone can get on can they get me some A&W root beer ?

Are there any US breakers around mildenhall/lakenheath which might break VWs?

I have access to base last time i was there i see the guy that had the black mk3 jetta then he came to the meet he wernt round long shame he had a cool ride.

i think hes been to a few of the meets, and me and matty saw him on the m25 run

yeah that would be me who owns the black mk3 jetta. sad i know i hardly ever get out down to the meets but its been rather cold lately. I have just been rather busy with work, helping a few coworkers with projects here and there, and trying to finish up my 16v swap in my mk1 cabby. engine is in, just have to sort out the wiring, get a 16v servo and master cylinder, and a header...i will worry about the rest of the exhaust at some later date. i just want the damn thing to be done lol

I got my caddy off lakenheath base. The bloke I got it from had just got a US spec A4 1.8T. There are some cool cars on the base. I saw a chevy pick up on air

id love to have a look round again, went to one in germany, its quite surreal how..... well just mini america it is

The guy I was buying the car from signed me on with my car aswell. You can't normally just go on the base

Unfortunately not a US spec car, but wondered if this might be useful to anyone? Bit pricey like :(
