Hi! Can't believe i've been living around here (Brampton, near Huntingdon) for over 3 years and never knew there was a local VAG club !! rover 623 (straight swap with my 620 with a lad that couldn't afford the insurance for the 2.3!)
toyota corrola gti-16v (got for free with suspected HG failure, turned out to be incorrectly torqued head bolts!)
nissan silvia s12 turbo, bough for 175 quid! made 189bhp!
golf mk2 gti 8v (ropey one that never made it on the road in my ownership)
another mk2 gti 8v (minter with 62k miles!)
rover 620ti (200bhp for 400 quid!..winner!)
seat ibiza gti cuprasport 8v should only be 112bhp but made 129bhp with 150lb/ft @ 1750rpm at Jabba!
vauxhall carlton 2.6 estate (given for free! 2.6 straight 6, 175bhp and 200lb/ft! rear drive with lsd!)

I miss that golf to the point where I would consider swapping my ibiza for another one! I must be mad wanting to go from 150+bhp to 120 ish! the ibiza is seriously quick too! cos it was a CAT C rear ended/repaired there is no sound deadening at the rear where the damage was repaired. so combined with a stripped out rear it's around 50kg lighter than standard. very noisy on motorway trips though! i'm really gonna make an effort to make it to that cambs meet on the 31st!
