hi i have a 1.6 golf 8v it gets hotter than it should do does cool its self down wen ya ease of the gas also have no heaters had loads of problems lots of money spent cant solve it can any 1 give me any suggestions plz

They do get warm when you're still. If it cools down when moving would'nt worry, just make sure you turn the engine off.

hi water in expansion tank goes up and down wen ticking over! heaters dont work think could be thermostate! any ideas m8

try flushing your water system out

disconnect the two pipes at the bulkhead, the ones that would go to your heater matrix, and put a hose pipe on one of them and pump sh1te loads of water through bith your engine, rad etc and then do it again for your heater matrix. hopefully you should pump loadsa black sh!t out

other than that it might be the valves on these pipes, check wether all pipes get hot because that should tell you where a blockage is

waterpumps do replacing at some point in a golfs life

and so do heater matrix's....which are barstewards to do

i just hope your head gasket isnt gone

thanks i will try that everybody keeps telling me headgasket but i dont think it is because when ya drive it sensible its ok
