PostSubject: Fendubbers Recovery Vehicle :)   Tue 9 Dec 2008 - 13:47

This is my new ride and i am doing it up

Started off as a standard LWB VW Transporter...3 seats in the front and ply lined in the back...

I then in the first weekend of ownership installed the Alpine Stereo...2 12 inch Kenwood sub's and parrot handsfree kit.

It was lowered 30mm and i fitted the towbar. (towbar to be used for the vwdrc next year )

The interior is going to be something along the lines of ghetto Pimp

Had a fold down bed with seatbelts fitted a week or two ago...so it was
time to start trimming the interior. Plans were for red vinyl seat
cushions...with leopard print base. the metal work inside the van will
be done mostly in leopard print with some red vinyl highlights...got 10
blue led lights to go in as well.

so far got the bed board done...6 lights in and two roof panels covered...will get more pics as i go through.

Firstly a pic of the roof panels which i finished when i put up the first pics.

The cats had been trying to help again!

the seat cushions covered...not screwed in yet though

rear door panels covered...i will be leaving the leopard print til last on the back doors as they will be a bitch to do!

first panel in and surrounding material in...is also insulated behind and ran the speaker cables for the rear panel

More insulation going in...and the surrounding covered

panel in

coming together now

more of the panelling done

a touch more

some of the trickier bits like around the sliding door

lights on

excuse the mess...but gives you an idea of the whole inside

Would have got further yesterday but ran out of glue Will get on with some more this week if it stops raining.

have still got all the joins of the bits of fabric to do...shouldn't
take too long to get the material in...but the tidying up will be a
pain in the arse!

Hmmm... on the inside? Definitely cool.

One the outside, I dunno! I did see a van with Neons and lots of stick-on shiny stuff on it in Tesco a while ago. I laughed a little bit Laughing
