My Mk3 GTi Empty
PostSubject: My Mk3 GTi   My Mk3 GTi EmptyThu Sep 18 2008, 07:44

Bought this last sat 13th for £900!! Had to go to Coventry to get it but was well worth it in the end. After selling the Vento, I spent the whole drive home picking faults with it cus it just wasn't the VR6 saloon. Didn't think it would be as quick as it is, but not really in it for speed as I won't be doing many miles in it. Already started doing some nice little mods.
Check it out and let me know what you think.....

This is it as soon as I got home (and after a wash!!)

My Mk3 GTi CIMG0034

One from the side (old style RS4 wheels look good but not in the best condition)

My Mk3 GTi CIMG0036

And one from the back, not very keen on the exhaust but it'll do for now..

My Mk3 GTi CIMG0039

The wipers were fcked and would have probably scratched the windscreen if I used them so got these new wipers, they fit so well and cover the whole surface and don't make a screeching noise Very Happy

Then de-wipered the back, took the motor out and used a rubber grommet to fill the hole, then some clear sealant on the inside to stop water coming thru. Venom sell these grommets for over £20!!! this cost me 10p.. Also de-badged the back too.

Got to work this morning and my german number plates and badgeless grill was waiting for me Very Happy

More photos to follow.....................

Looks nice that, im not keen on the headlights. You should take yourself back and get a vento front end on it.

Couldn't wait to get home saturday and get to work on it. Got the grill out straight away and primed it.

My Mk3 GTi CIMG0047

Only cost £5 for a can of primer and black gloss paint. Whilst I was at it, I also did the side indicators.

The finished product.

My Mk3 GTi CIMG0055

Just needs a good back to blacking and poilish. Thats pretty much it for the outside.
What do you think???

If someone was to offer around the asking price I'd sell it and get another one. Make a quick buck!!
