| Ok. My wheels arrived today Genuine audi fat fives. 8.5jx18 et45 with huge 255/45 tyres lol. I'll change the tyres to something more suitable once they worn out, i'll also refurb the alloys. Anyways, i gave them a quick wash on my lunch break then stayed behind to fit them in the workshop rather than in the dark at home. Was'nt doing them justice with a dirty van so in the wash bay it went What ya thinks then? | |

| Never been happy with the visability of the headlights in my van so i upgraded the bulbs to Ultra brilliance halfords bulbs Before pic taken with my iphone 4 resting on my steering wheel. Approx 5.25pm yesterday After pic taken at approx 6.30pm today The new bulbs have made a massive difference although they do cost a bit at £25 each. Buy 1 get 1 free at the mo though | |

| I've had the uprated headlight wiring loom fitted and have Osram night breakers up front and they ace, the standard lights are pony Wheels suit the van well, you may laugh at running chunky tyres but you wait until you put low profiles on them 18's and running lowered 50/60 , you'll soon go back lol .....bit of a crashy ride | |

| Lil update Loving the van, so wish i got one sooner. Was well handy for last weekends biking round thetford So this weekend i treated it to having the EGR valve blanked and inlet manifold de-coked Few before and after pic's of the egr valve I did take the time and effort to remove the inlet aswell so i could give that a clean out. Hopefully i'll produce a bit better mpg now and also gained back what bhp i'd probably lost due to the crud build up | |

Yeah man, its pretty bad stuff so wear gloves if you do anything like this. I set fire to the egr and inlet to burn away any sticky stuff, scraped some out then used an old toothbrush with industrial cleaner to do the rest. Harrison's little plastic bath came in handy too lol(he too big for it now) Panel filter and de-cat next. See if i can up the 40mpg i was getting before the clean

If your going to do it properly and clean out the inlet then it'll be time consuming as the Allen bolts are in an awkward position. Try removing the egr pipe first as you'll have more access then. If just doing the egr then it'll be an easy job. Order your gaskets from vw beforehand. Nothing majorly noticeable in performance really but will greatly improve performance when accompanied with a panel filter and remap
