20vt conversion help pleaseee

hi guys im going to be carrying out a 20vt convertion on my mk2 scirocco scala,
i am getting all the parts ready for what i need at the moment so when i come to do the convertion i want to have it done with in a week ( i dont have any over wheels and hate walking)

basiclly i have the engine out and ready

i need help with

1, if i stick to the original 020 gearbox does anybody know where i can get a resonable priced uprated clucth from?

2, if i use the 02a gearbox does any body know where to get the conversion mounts from? and what do you do about the dogbone/ stabiliser bar?

3, if i use the 02a gearbox does anybody know where i can get the conversion to make the clucth cable fit so i dont have the plumb in a hydrollic unit?

i think i have everything else coverd its just the gearbox side im strugaling with at the moment so any help would be gratley apriciated

You'll want to use an o2a box with the 20vt mate

Plenty of places to get the mounts from including eBay.

I've seen the hydro to cable conversion parts available from tsr

Probably still get cable clutch bits from seat. I have it all so can provide part numbers if you need....

ive found 1 gearbox mout on ebay item number 180951826240 but i dont understand what he means by ther rear mount? also at £150 ther a bit pricey

also mk1g60 if you have them part numbers that would be great help


plus can i swap the flanges from my 020 gearbox onto the 02a gearbox? i already have 100mm shafts on the scirocco but the flanges on this 02a box when i measurd then ar 108mm?

The o2a flanges will be the 100mm type aswell mate. They'll fit

it turns out i didnt look properly and i have the 02j gearbox that has 110mm flanges on
does anybody know what cars have the 02a gearboxes on so i can got to a scrappy and yoink the flages as vw wat nearly £150 each
