howdy people, i been meaning to sign on here for ages, but never seem to get time.

My name is Ryan Rix, a.k.a Rixy, and i know a few of ya's on here anyway from when i used to work with Lee (a.k.a caddyrage) and met a few of ya, curtis, skinhead, tiz etc to name a few..........

Anyway, im the one who runs EC-DC from norfolk,and thought i'd see how the people over the border are doing......

Here's a pic of me Raddo VR6, Full engine rebuild less than 8k miles ago, using only Genuine parts, Ported, polished, and schrick cammed! 6 Branch awaiting fitment - oh, and it needs to sort out its dissagreement with the tarmac, lol!!!






And here's my Mk1 caddy, well, how it used to look anyway, lol

and then this happened :-

resulting in me now rebuilding it from scratch again, with new crazy motor etc planned!!!

Always the last friday of the month mate so next 1 is on the 26th

the caddy fire was a bit of a fooooooker! Was fully resprayed and bodywork was all compelted by me and mr caddyrage, whilst we both had a week off work. I got it painted, then by the time i'd re built the truck, the mot had run out, and it had developed a running fault.

I tried everything to fix it, new metering heads, new fuel pumps, accumulators etc, but to no avail. Then 1 day, i thought i'd fixed it, was running sweet as a nut, until.......

BANG!!! bonnet flew up, set alight to my leg (as it was hanging out of the door at the time) blew the headlighht across the floor about 20feet, and up she went.

7fireextinguishers later :-





Turned out, the running fault was a borken wire from the ignition amplifier, shorting on the rain tray, where the d**k who done the engine conversion hadn't fitted a rubber gromit, so it wore through and shorted out. hence y it was sporadic, and not constant. However, i only found this out after the fire - which makes it even more sickly!!

The fire was caused by fuel line rubbin and chaffing through on the cam sprocket, then sprayin fuel over spark plugs!

ha ha, no chance, mine's been cammo since b4 that last PVW came out, lol, and mine's hand painted, not vinyl wrapped, lol!!!

I agree though, annoying, as i done it, then mag came out etc.......grrrrrrrrrrrrr my plan to take over the world fails again.

yeah i just said to lee on msn it actually looks bloody awesome and yeah none of the wrapping sh1te lol hardcore. Hopefully see it at the next meet cause my license might not be going till a while after the 17th i dunno lol. Im good anyway mate, you? havent seen you in fooobaring ages. Business is good as well mate cheers.

aaaargh, ^ that was me, wish she wouldnt leave it logged in as her......but im sure Em says hi too

wicked stuff, cheers for comments on raddo, bless it, its sat up, hidin in my mates garage, not taxed, insured or anything at the moment, hiding it away for winter! will get it out over winter some time for a full on engine out, glass out respray hopefully, and fit cams etc them too!!!!

Alright Rixy welcome to the forum, it's Toby who used to own your golf (spoke to you and Ollie a couple of times when he owned it). WOW I love the look can't believe how different it looks to when I first bought it way back in '98. Please bring it to the next cambs meet I'd love to have a nosy round.

gotta say the golf looks bloody good, especially with decals on the side.

they not decals mate, they are hand painted letters, but they do finish it off a treat, lol!

Hey trouble nice to see you on here - glad your coming to the cambs meet so we can all have a good catch up.
