| what car is it on mate? could it be possible that 1 or 2 of the holding rods have popped out there places on the sides You say it drapes down at the back, pull the rubber seal off then stretch the liner so it meets the edge then either glue in place or tape it. if glueing, use some pegs to grip it over night or if taping, refit the seal to grip it in place again. Thats how i done a few anyway. sounds like someone fitted an ariel and pulled bits apart | |

| Hi bud. Its a MK2 Golf. The lining has come away from the roof. Its obviously just lost its sickyness over the years I guess. There are a few bits of plastic trim that hold it up at the sides and rear but the centre is sagging. Didnt think to try double sided tape.. worth a shot I guess. Cheers. | |

| just this weekend me and my mate took his roof lining out and restuck it on. its not the best job, theres a few bubbles and a bit shitty round the edges cuz the linings fooked but weve put it back in and it looks better than what it did. warning this is not an easy or quick task! | |

we took the lining down and then seperated the vinyl from the polystyrene? then we brushed off all of the the old glue/orange material bits of both surfaces. then we used spray adhesive to put the lining back on. id recomend using double sided tape around the edges as the spray in my opinion doesnt stick the edges well enough. | |
