thanks to a tip off in the spotted section i went a bought myself a copy of golf+, and sure enough there was a picture of my caddy being towed by the passat in there.

well chuffed even though its only the size of a stamp but i thought i would share it with you all anyway:D

been having a think about my addy and came up with this idea. should stiffen it up a lot and gtove me some impact protection as im cutting out my inner door skins.

undecided on how it looks tho.

yeah, main reason is for strength. but just cos it aint been done dont mean its gonna look good. i bet no1 has welded a cast iron hippo to there roof, but that doesnt make it worth doing!

a lot of work for foobar all extra strength and looks crap imo. Like matty says just run a full cage and maybe run some cage down inside the sills? Almost like your tube framing it inside the existing shell, tie it into the front strut towers, rear towers, subframe mounts, cab hoop etc etc would be stiff as hell and if you get it tagged and approved you would be allowed to run some serious times if you get running some good power through it.
