my jetta was over 205k and went ok, think it depends on how its been looked after, and if its cheap then i would go for it, re sell may be a bit hard but still worth getting if cheap. if its been a company car it would have more than likely been a fleet car, and there always serviced on time and maintained well.

Yes mate my thoughts as well it has full service history and I would prob keep it till it when bang then find a low mileage engine Wink I have bought a low mileage V5 golf full leather recaros for next to nothing but I really need a diesel so thinking of swapping all good stuff of V5 excited

The mk4 boxes are traditionally make of chocolate but if It's got motorway milage, you should be good.
All the tdi's bung up the inlet manifold with black poop.
Block the egr, remove the manifold and burn it out.
You'll thank me for it.
Get a remap, it'll be another car alltogether.
Other than that I wouldn't worry that it'd been to Pluto and back.
