Hello everyone, i decided at my age (mid life crisis age) it was time to buy the big boys toys i wanted, unfortunatly i didn`t have the money to buy good ones. i bought my 1968 beetle about 3 years ago for 50 quid, its still in bits at the moment awaiting the finishing touches to the bodywork before its new paint job. it was a rather un-attractive beige but its going to be a more pleasing deep red and cream when its finished. i have more recently bought a bay windows camper van off of 1972 for 400 quid (i do love a bargain), its possibly the rustiest vehicle i`ve ever seen, the only bits that aren`t rusty are the windows. As soon as the beetle is finished then the camper will be wheeled into the workshop for it`s return to glory. my kids are busting to go touring in the camper and we are hoping to go to some shows next year if i pull my finger out and get it done.
