New from Soham! :)

hello there! Currently living in Soham and knew a few people on here so thought i'd join the bandwagon

I've fairly recently just bought a Mk4 Golf




It's a 1.9 GT Tdi and its not much done to it appart from the m3 mirrors and the wheels obviously aren't the standard but I could not tell you what they were as they came with the car [ the are 17"s] and have no badges on!

Ordered some VW badges to put in the middle to tidy them up for the moment till i can get some new alloys, hopefully some Wolfrace Lugano's in black.
He needs to be lowered, new lights, maybe get some tinted windows, brake calipers, interior etc etc.

So there is a lot to do but all in good time.

Any suggestsions are all very welcome!

I think you could get some much nicer wheels for £500 keep an eye out on the E38 classifieds

i know i can but these are only going to be temporary. the problem is, im mainly looking for a new set of tyres cuz the ones on my car at the moment are crap, and my alloys are pretty haggered too so i thought why not kill to birds with one stone and get both together. most of the used sets ive found, the tyres are knackered on them and having to get a new full set of tyres on them is kind of what i'm trying to avoid with my current ones.

thing is im kinda getting to the stage where i need to change my tyres as opposed to want to :(

As max said you could get better for £500 get on the E38 classifieds.

You could get BBS LM reps at this price....depending on size that is!

buy some steels with tyres if tyres are an immediate problem, then get some nice wheels and sort tyres when you have the dollar. simples

just found a set of steels with new tyres for £50 in ipswich or will post for £30 more.

if you get them and then roll the chav wheels off a cliff you will be all sorted for finding something nice, and getting the right tyres too. i imagine these wheel and tyre packages normally come with balloon tyres

Could you link me up with the info on that please mark? I think its gunna be a case of getting new tyres then getting nicer wheels when I find the right one.

Anyway my dad has a mate who has a mate who has loads of wheels so I'm gunna go see what he has to offer and then its back to the drawing board again if he has nothing.

I'm new to all this forum stuff so I'm still learning when and where to look!
