Long story short my current daily got hit by a bus in town on the 12th December 2010 and I wanted a new car pretty much instantly. So I found this golf for sale on here and snapped it up on the 15th of january. I was hoping that the insurance would pay up fast so I could sell it, but they didn't. So over the past 4 months I have been thinking long and hard about what I want and have come to the conclusion that I am going to keep the golf.
She is a MK2 1.6 Driver in 'rare' pasadena blue, has a few bits of rust in the usual places but nothing to bad considering she has done 160k. Spent a day cleaning all the crap out of it and fixed the door membrane that was leaking in water.
So far the mods are:
Single Light Grill
Chrome Strip Bumpers
Fifft Rear Lights (16v Style?)
Pressed Plates
Tesco's value coilovers
VW Silverstone's (TearDrops) - to replace some really crappy bbs RZ's
To come:
GTI Interior
Few little bits of trim and stuff
Good Polish/clay
Eventually:
Rust Removal + Paint
Some nice split rims!
