| Hi guys As per title really,my B4 wagon whistles at 3k,and most annoyingly wont rev over 4k. Ive changed the fuel filter,oil and filter (the oil was black and the sludge in the filter was appauling),air filter and (Bosch Super 3 electrode) plugs.Now,I dont like those plugs but they were a good price and what supposed to be in there so went for them. Why oh why wont she rev over 4k,I can get any more than about 45-50 out of 3rd gear.Theres no clutch slip whatsoever. Hoping this isnt fuel pump. Thanks in advance,Steve  | |

I've been pondering this issue all weekend and came to a similar opinion.
Easy enough to check out, disconect the cat and try it then.

| Ah!Excellent!Cheers guys! I have just run a bottle of Cataclean from GSF through it when I serviced her last week. Hard to tell if that made a difference as I also changed the fuel filter and others. OK will remove and smash the insides through with a rail lifter.Worked a treat on my 480 Turbo  | |
