Hey wave

I've got a brand new set of mk1 coilovers sitting in the garage and the missus has just got a mk2, i know the mk2 hub carriers are around five mil wider than the mk1's but are there any other issues?

That was my main concern dude, the standard mk2 set up (shock and spring) has a large top platform to sit in the arch where as the mk1 is slim line..

Does the mk2 coilover have a wider top plate to compensate this??

I reckon you could swap the top mounts over without too many issues, I'd be interested to see the out come.

What i meant by the platforms dude, was if you look at themk2 coilovers the rear have a flat platform where as theMk1 coilovers are sloping. I was just a bit concerned with the rubber spreading under load and the coilover ending up in the boot...I think the mk2's maybe wider...

Think i may just get her a cheap set of springs and be done with it ... Laughing
