That black one is sick, Max, you do have a fair argument, but I still reckon 18's are the way to go - why don't you go for the cheaper option first and see what you think?

Nope I agree with you dude the silver one is rancid. I think that may be the only way to go to be honest, though I have a feeling getting the 9.5j under the rear may be quite a bit of work. Seems I may be talking to matty pretty soon about using his arch roller Razz

Yeah, I know. I just typed "BMW E46 on 17's" in google.
Just think of how sick it would look on 18" LM reps with arch to lip... Twisted Evil

See that's the thing, the wheels were never stamped out of the factory so I'm not actually sure what they are. I think they're around the 25/30 mark but i have no way of telling

As i thought, 17s dont work. plus that ride height is more than achievable on 18s.

Dunno fi this guide is any good it explains how to work out offset of wheels using only a few simple measurements https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

cheers for that dude.

Well I think I'm going to go for 18's with a bit of tuck up front now. The only problem is that no one in the BMW scene has any imagination so there are only about 4 styles of wheels available. Looks like I'll be running adaptors again Rolling Eyes

I'm thinking about some fat fives in a dark gloss red maybe as I can't really afford any nice 18s with dish . This is the kind of colour I'm thinking of :

haha, the same red i was going to do my wheels on the oner... but you'll probably get it done before me as im stupidly lazy! Should look good with the black dude.

as for wheel styles, there's a few out there, its just not as obvious as the VAG world, you just need to hunt a little bit! Thumbs up

I popped home on my lunch to take some more pictures and run some more errands that I had to do. I'm well aware that it has far too much reverse rake at the moment but unfortunately until I get some new wheels I can't do much about it. I'll drop the front another 25mm and the rear about another 10mm eventually.

How about now? both are coming out around the 600 mark but I'll have to wait 4-6 weeks to get them imported from America which is a bit gash. Ets are around 35 so I'll have to space the rears out about 15mm which should give it a nice bit of poke.

I don't but the people who stock them only stock the 8.5 and not the 9.5s. They said they'll charge me the same price for a set but I'll have to wait whilst the American distro sends some over.

To be honest I'm getting a bit sick of lm reps all over the place, so I'm more likely to get the 5 spokes.

The five spoke ones are alright, growing on my everytime i look at them, but maybe a different colour centre would look better, and not matte finish?

The 5 spokes don't do anything for me.
They look too much like those Lenso RS5's.

How about BBS RGR reps. Or RS-GT if you still want the split piece look.
They look sick as fcuk on an E46...
