Nice progress mate, looks good, what did you use to fix your plate to the sun visor? i need to do the same instead of having it in the boot, lol.

As for the tinting, Why not use tint spray, iv always used it for tinting lights (not headlights) and its always fine.

This is the stuff i use.

Black Tint Spray

Red Tint Spray

Cheers dude. For the plate I just drilled two small holes through the plate and made up some hooks out of some spare ali lying about.

I may get some of the red tinting stuff next month as I'm really not happy with the rears, they look good at a distance but let it down up close.

Na dude I hooked them on the front of the head lining. There's about a 4mm gap between the headlining and the windscreen

Bad news on this.

I was driving to my mates to give him a lift to the train station so he could go back to para training and my car felt a bit odd, sluggish and soft.

When I got there I decided to give it a look over and it turns out my rear left hand tyre was flat as a pancake. I started to pump it up but it wouldn't take any air so I stuck my hand behind the tyre to find that the whole inner side wall has been shredded blow out style.

I'm guessing that they tyre went down over night and without me picking up on it I've destroyed the tyre whilst driving on it. Un-f*****g-cool. <_<

I got a work colleague to pick us up and give me a lift back to work (I was on lunch) and will be returning to my mates latter on to put my old 18s on the rear until I get another 205/40 tyre ordered up.

It's going to be a long night.

Blagger you didn;'t say anything, not that I would of listened anyway Razz

The four wheel alignment is booked for Sat morning. The tracking isn't actually that far out it's more the caster and camber I'm worried about. My mates swapping a tyre of one of my Merabs as they're the same size tomorrow on his lunch for me so I should be running all four wheels the same again by tomorrow.

Got the new rear tyre fitted up yesterday and my mate brought it down the pub with him. I got the rears swapped over on my lunch today so I'm back rolling on 4 17s Very Happy

Drifter setup anyone (it's half jacked up by the rear diff in this picture hence the positive camber)

Not yet man. No where in Cambridge has the combination of a flat ramp and the lazers that attach to the hubs instead of the top of the tyre. I tried F1, Cambridge performance tyres, Regency Autos, Kwik-fit and International tyres and all of them said no.

But a guy from C' Performance told me that they can do it at their Bishop Stortford Branch so after giving them a call and chatting to a mechanic there I'm going to be heading down there on Saturday and see what they can do. Finger crossed ay.
