Can i pick the brains of an engine guru please?? Have the above in my Passat but its inlet over exhaust and I want a crossflow head for carb reasons can the heads be swapped or do i need/ is it easier to swap the whole engine?? and does anyone have one lying about for sale??

You need the head from a 2.0 8v Mk4 Golf/New Beetle to run carbs/ITBs on an 8v. Might need some of the oil returns welding up if i remember rightly.

The engine code for one of the crossflow heads is AQY 2.0 gti from a beetle,bora, or golf !!
