Might as well get this one up on here too
Eight years into Polo ownership and with a lot of driving back to Cardiff to see family and friends I was in the market for something a bit more comfortable than the G40.
Enter the Passat...
Two owners from new, 51k on the clock, mint condition. And the N/A 2.0 20V engine to keep me from turning it into something silly (1.8T is too easy to mod)
One quick wash, polish and wax on Monday and it came up looking fantastic:
Standard tape/CD made way for this very tidy Kenwood sat nav/DVD double din head unit, which has now been adjusted to match the rest of the dash.
Added the staggered fitment Wolfrace Nogaro wheels and Uniroyal Rainsports last October, then bad weather got in the way. Didn't get around to lowering it till February, when Perky and Adam at Perkins Automotive got the privilege of figuring out the stupidly complex suspension on a Passat.
Went for an Eibach spring kit to retain ride quality and load lugging ability, not a massive drop but enough to remove that 4X4 ride height. Yep, I could've decked it but that's not really the point with this one.
Got an HID kit under my desk waiting to go on, and a few plans to get through before I'm done.
