| here's the story,
booked a cottage in cornwall for a week and was hoping to drive my car (1985 cabby with the kr 16v, 210k miles) down (6.5 hrs drive). but in the last week i've had a wheel bearing go (now fixed) and then i hit a puddle and had the ht leads arcing out. all seems fine now but i've lost a little confidence in her. is she trying to tell me she doesn't want to be driven to cornwall?
the other option is to drive the gf's mx5 down but it's boot is just about big enough for two bags of shopping, no rear seats, no parcel shelf and has pop up headlights that take up half the windscreen.
what would you do???

| My mk1 made it to uttoxeter and back 3hours either way for me. If my old banger can do that then sure yours will be fine. Ok it did need a slight repair at the halfway point but it got there and back. And it is a 27 year old engine with over 200,000 on the clock | |

| The Cabby is saying, "take me, but do these bits first and and I will get you there and back easy!" | |

| My engine in my bus gave up 5 days before I was due to go to Cornwall... Was on my way to Life Styles Festival in Hunstanton at the time... The next day I won a new longblock on ebay The next day I took the engine out of my bus The next day I picked up the new longblock from London The next day, I stripped the old engine and built the longblock into a whole engine, and then put it in my bus The next day, I drove 350 miles to Cornwall Worth it... DEFINATELY!!! Go in the f*****g Dub, man. | |
