I decided to put my topmounts onto my coilies 2day, and to me they look abit wierd. they are spose to be vr6 converion 1s and came with different top nuts and kinda bearing washer.they are not like the 1s that are on the car at the mo. Is this normal?

im quite sure they're upside down.. the nut at the top should sit tight in the hole on the other side. flip it over and it's right

Thats strange cuz the hole is bigger the other side, and the nut isnt goin to sit tight in either of them these are different nuts to normal mk2s anyway to go with the topmounts for the vr6 conversion.

Probly once i get the 1s off thats on at the mo ill be able to see what the deal is.

the bearing goes on first, then the nut, then the mount flipped over from how it is now should sit over it

put bearing on then mount it in the car, then topmount on from within the engine bay, then the nut to secure it?

Im used to mk1s, alot simpler lol

the whole lot should go from within the car, so the top mount is cupped by the turret from the underside. still cant find those pics, starting to wonder wether i took any now! haha

the nuts you're saying are different are the 1's ive got on mine now, because mine used to have mk2 nuts (like a barrell) and it fell through the top mount because the hole was so big..

ashley is right thats how i did mine the other week, forgot to put the bearings in first of all and the whole strut pushed through the mount lol luckely the bonnet was still up, iv ordered some new top mounts from venom which are suppose to be poly but they're not in stock iv been waiting weeks now i need to get on the case me thinks
