| interesting idea... i know the s13's had 280mm discs. i think a mate of mines got some 4pot 200sx calipers knocking about... ill try and have a look over the weekend, as im sure ive got some golf carriers knocking about in the shed somewhere too. hopefully it'll work on the polo as well! _________________ So, once you've got the hole at the bottom of the popcorn box, it's basically just a waiting game.

| Isnt it easier to stick 2 vag if u want 2 upgrade your brakes. Im running a 315mm front set up from a audi s3 on my mk3 golf. Havin some 4 pots from a 200sx would b good though. |

| alrite mate, i was the guy you spoke to at the meet last month, the brakes i was goin to fit were 200sx caliper and pads coupled with G60 (or probably any 280mm, but mine is a mk2 and needed 4-stud) discs. Have got a mate 'in the know' when it come to 200sx's and we've managed to work out that the 300zx calipers will fit a 200sx straight swap, so i have a pair of these now, they need slight modifications (as do the 200's) to fit, however they are HUGE 4-pots, and some 300zx 's also had ally callipers - they are lighter than standard golf brakes this way too . I have got to fit new bearing to my hubs, and hopefully picking up some used disc's off a guy on this forum soon to mock it all up, i can post pics up and a rough how-to when its all done if you like? There are soo many options this way too, you can use the 300zx pasds, however there a a few upgrades for the 300's that will now work on my brakes ie bigger pads for less than £20, or caramic pads for about $70 apparently, all this with a decent set of fast road discs means i'm goind to be lifting rear wheels when i wanna stop |
