| thinkin of getting a waterpumper for the winter. but my god how the hell do you insure the things ?? im 20, got no no claims cos im on classic car insurace, ive had 2 accidents that have been written as faultless, bin driving for 3 years. but the quotes im getting kill me!!! i want a mk3 golf 1.4. they're askin 650 quid. am i being cheap or is this expensive? ive bin paying under 200quid on the bug, this year its gonna drop to around the 100 mark .
so is this what i should expect to pay?? what companies work for you guys?? im in contact with martin who will sort me a quote soon, but so far endsleigh is the cheepest. but have to say, the quote martin gave me on a lupo was far lower than any i found on the web, like 150quid lower . |

| wish my insurance was that cheap m8, insurance for young blokes on normal policies is always expensive cuz its a high risk age group. _________________

| dont ever consider gettin a GTI then cuz i think youd have a nervous breakdown at the quotes! 'Bell' this year was literally half the amount of every other company on my 8v but putting my 16v back on the road soon bumped my insurance back over a grand B*st*rds _________________ UMMMM???? that bit must just be a spare part |

| im driving a modified 1.4 mk3, driving for 2 years, 1 ncd, no accidents and im on like 800 a year..
It might be worth modifying it, even if its just an air filter or wheels because the modified policy may be cheaper than standard:?: Give it a go with martin..
HIC were the cheapest by far for me _________________ I'm selling fibreglass matting as I bought wayyy too much - £2 sq mt - Can post for £1.50 or pickup from around the Soham/Ely or Histon area - PM me if interested |

| My insurance scraped in under £1k
Wish it was only £600 - same as yourself I have no no-claims but not quite been driving for 2 years yet. I'm 23 driving a Mk1 1.8 cabrio (non gti).
I'm with Adrian Flux but I think Brentacre or Greenlight are supposed to be really good too and obv HIC, though I think you might have to have at least 1 years no claims for Brentacre?
I think you pretty much just get raped till you're 25 if you drive anything bigger than 1 litre... |
