IN that case you've got a bloody bargain!!!! It looks like he's upgraded the braking system to a 9" servo and 22mm master cylinder, just check the clearance on the rotor cap and that it's fitting properly...could be the problem with the two cylinders... although i cant see it starting at all on only 2 ?? _________________

well i can cleary see that 2+3 are getting the exhausts nice n hot and 1+4 are still cool. Thats why i.ll be swapping the injectors around then hopefully 2+3 will stay cool. There is about 10mm gap between cap n master cyl. New rotor and cap and lead and plugs. With clean contact batween rotor and cap.

Cool, well that's one thing eliminated, have you checked the seals around the injectors? also did he tell you wether he wired it on the orig 8v engine loom or the 16v? When i did my cab to 16v i had an erratic running problem which ended up being the fake 16v ecu management box needed a *cough..whack...cough* and then was fine... but i've read you can run it off the orig 8v loom with a few changes... ...just thinking out loud dude _________________

he's wired it into a 16v mk3 fusebox and original 16v loom. Just chopped the wiring for the lights. Just need to sort the dash out. Nothing works on it.

I can imagine that looks a tad messy inside then mate. Would've been better off with an early 16v loom and keep the original fuse panel. No need for splicing so many wire in the can then._________________ Paintwork Restorer and odd job man!. PM me with enquiries |

it does look a tad messy. But nothing i can't sort out easily. Haven't even noticed where it has been spliced, just that i need to find a way to hold the fusebox to the car

All i'll say mate, is make sure you carry a fire extinguisher. Shame the dash loom and rear loom have been cut. I could have wired it in properly for you using original fuse board. _________________ Paintwork Restorer and odd job man!. PM me with enquiries
