PostSubject: my baby bug   Mon Jul 21 2008, 18:01

well this is my baby. a 1969 beetle. i am the third owner from new it has a ful service history since 1969 ans has only done 87k! it was totally standard up untill two months ago when i started modding!!!

engine is the original engine but i have just rebuilt it and is now a 1641cc with twin choke webber.

it is lowered 2 notches at the rear and has a adjustable 4'' narrowed beam up front.
plans are to go lower as im not happy about seeing daylight under the car!

dont narrow it!!! get it wound right down on some skinny wheels.

Slammed bugs on stock beams look much cooler in my opinion Very Happy , dont let anyone tell you you need a narrow beam to go really low.
Heres my old one, was voted the lowest non airbagged bug in the UK at the last T3D open day, just get the leaves on the beam ground down an it'll be fine.

they drive like proper sh1te on a narrowed beam but they look soo sick, dont personally like them properly slammed without a narrowed beam.
