just trying things on for size getin ready for turbo upgrade just waiting for a few silicone hoses to be deliverd then work will comence big disc upgrade on front done rears will be done tomorrow. its ;like xmas has come early

well first day went really well managed to get everythin striped off the engine without any problems managed to get the new manifold in change all the oil and water pipes got the new turbo in but just waiting for new bolts. the plan for tomorrow finish the turbo side fit new 3" downpipe and sportscat and fit new r32 front and rear antiroll bars and maybe have a little look at the senors ive got to change and hopefully get the fmic mounted. will add some pics tomorrow

second day gone really well did the front an rear anti roll bars mounted turbo to the manifold fitted downpipe then did intake manifold fuel lines vacume pipes and sorted all the senors out witch is the hardest part as everything is back to front. tomorrow will be intercooler mounting put exhaust back on front subfame back in driveshafts in and then its just the intercooler piping more pics tomorrow

where about are you getting it done mate? or are you a mechanic?

Taken a week off work to do it myself but I rented a ramp at tts roadsport in bedford they let me rent it cause I spend so much money there plus all the guys who work there are really sound so if I get stuck I also get some advice and also they got loads of spare parts incase I'm missing anything

well third day was slow progress first off got downpipe fitted then sports cat and rest of the exhaust fitted then for the dreaded intercooler it takes so long to get all pipes to fit in alll the tight places u get everythin in all fitted then u try an fit thebumper only to realise it ain gona fit and so on and so on managed to do it in the end so tomorrow is the rest of the piping last few sensors fill her up with oil and water then do the throtle body realignment on the laptop and take her for a test run but cant go on boost till shes been to amd technik witch should be monday for a full custom map an rollin road sesion then bring on the evos and scooby doos haha

hopeing to be around 300 bhp with the full custom map might have to go bigger injectors new actuator but will try with standards first will just put 4bar fuel pressure regulator on. really getin the bug for big power now got a spare 225 bhp s3 engine sittin in the garage an 4wd runnin gear might buy a mk 1 golf an try an get it 400 bhp 4wd mk1 golf or may be just stick the engine in the back an make it a rwd just need to find a decent shell

Your making me want another s3 let me kno when uv got that remap done iv gotta have a ride in this bad boy, my old s3 was about 270bhp but that had the 4 wheel drive to slow it down slightly but it was still rapid!! Urs will be immense!!

tinks its also 4wd so should be like s3 when done will let u no when its mapped hows the caddy comin along

right just finnished odd jobs off today eg fittied air filter oil and water and just general tweeks didnt quiet have time to finnish trimmin the bumper so will go back and finish off monday morning. did manage to take it for a quick spin not far though as had no headlights and bumper but i have to say it fookin flys i no i shouldnt boost it till the map an i think karma payed me back buy blowin a boost pipe off better to sort those things now though instead of doin it on the rollers but i am well happy with the results and the 3" downpipe an sports cat give it the proper turbo growl u dont usually get on 20vt engines

Im getting itchy fingers with mine atm.. a bit too standard. Whats the score with dump valves, induction kits ect on these? Is there any actual performance improvement with standard mapping or is it a little pointless unless upping the power?

ps i know alot of people class dump valves as chavvy but i 'sort of' like them plus the forge one you can have as recirc or atmospheric i think.
