Here's a few crappy pics of Gems ibiza

We've owned the car since oct 06. Bought the car with this spec as we did'nt want the cupra bumpers and intend to keep it cleaned.be lol
Stayed standard for a while then...The modding bug came around Rolling Eyes
So, on went

TT comps with yoko rubber
Jamex coilovers
Green cotten filter and cupra air dam, Ran 138bhp, 300+Nm at Jabba
Also satin blacked the chrome on the front grill and removed the SEAT badge on the tailgate. Left the TDI badge on to p1ss off the boy racers when i pass them lol Twisted Evil

Plans are to get her remapped to 175ish at jabba
Colour code the side rub strips
Bout it really

Keep it Clean, keep it Classy!! Cool

would def recommend a remap! I had a beeza TDi before my Leon...stage2 mapped - was awesome. You on SEATcupra.net?

I kept the Leon a month before i 'needed' to remap it!

When funds allow, yeah it'll be mapped as jabba can take it upto 175bhp 400+nm

This is Gems work car though so sits in the daily traffic through the week. I only drive it now and again so when i jump in, it feels fast enough each time. Love the way it pulls and grips Very Happy
I sold my VR because of this car, they was soo evenly matched that the vr just was'nt worth its keep.
TDI's are the future lol Wink

Cheers mate. just read up on that.

Not really liking the idea of sorting the dash light out after i fit(not that i cant do it as my missus can get the kit).

The ibiza is running nicely with good mpg at the mo(touch wood) so i dont intend to mess with it, specially as Gemma uses it everyday for an 80 mile all round commute.

The EGR pipe just makes for a cleaner burn, not really any bhp to gain. Just a smoother delivery in power.

We not going to bother with a remap anymore either simply as the car maybe sold in probs a years time.

you realy should re-map it mate you can get a stage1 from jabba for £300 give or take i cant remember the exact price...they will ask you what you would like the power delivery like,,,my cozen said very smooth as he uses his everyday on motorways no difrence in mpg just very very smooth boost and it dos not seem to feel like it fades out quick either,in hole the car is alot nicer to drive......as said very smooth

but if he wants to sell it i doubt he wants to put the extra stress on any of the components. At the end of the day im a firm believer(and i believe lee is also) in if your not gonna change the clutch on these dont do a remap cause it wont last long even with the electronically limited torque delivery especially when it costs a fair bit to get done with the current econimic climate i doubt it makes sense Smile

i just think its the best mod you will do for that money and enjoy the car more

"extra stress on any of the components" lol what is it going hybrid is it!...its all very safe and like i said you can have the map ajusted to your requirements if you need,or go revo and get the switchable map so you can turn it back to std ecu settings if you want

"going hybrid" erm what? So you dont believe making a turbo run extra boost, making the injectors run more fuel. Running a hotter combustion in the cylinders along with higher peak cylinder pressure along with extra wear on the gearbox and clutch. Also on the brakes from braking harder..

So your telling me all those things dont happen. Believe it or not mate i do know a few things about motors Laughing

I was planning to get it Revo remapped awhile ago as we do a lot of work with that company at work so i can get it cheap. The boss of the firm had his remapped Ibiza with him and let me have a burn up the A1 in it - it was very nippy and also the gear changes, esp in the lower gears, was a lot smoother.

I would look into it again but not until we have some more pennies after the wedding! or i might put the money towards a new car hmm Surprised

I know its not much compared to what you can do BUT if i was going to be thinking of selling the car the last thing i would wanna do would be spend money on a remap which you wont get back and possibly kill the clutch or any other component. You cant tell how a car has been driven, used and abused before you however good the service history or how honest the sellers face is so its not worth the risk.
