aaz isnt TDi chap its a TD and its 75bhp, do you mean the 1z 1.9TDi from the later mk3s with 90hp? If thats what you mean chap i got into it and for the hasstle it is it really really isnt worth it, you can have over 90bhp with a quick tweak of a TD.

The only TDi engine i would bother doing a conversion with is the PD engines.

you want the 1.9TD aaz from early mk3 golfs, ventos, seats etc. Its 75bhp standard, with a few little pump tweaks and a little boost adjustment a reliable 100bhp if your turbo is in good health and doesnt have the usual stuck wastegate problem. Fuel consumption will be much better than your driver engine and will feel quick because of all the bottom end torque.

The stress and vibrations of that diesel aren't too good for day to day ride in a MkII, or am I wrong?

stress and vibrations Question. Id say definately wrong chap, diesels make the perfect daily, a good tuned diesel, obviously staying in the peramiters of reliability is awesome as a daily. End of the day surely good daily qualities are torque and economy? which diesels have pretty well covered Very Happy
