hi peeps im rocket, (dont have real first name!! honest!) im 22 from cambridge(ish) and drive a vw golf red shes a mk3 1996, she also bares the covented gti badge in red, so yep shes a anniversary, (colour coded stitching, piping on floor mats, pin stripe on bumpers, reg gti badges front and rear, oh and the lovely reccaro seats with the chequers and matching gti livery on the cloth and the lovely bbs rx2 split rims alloys, she is also a colour concept according to volkswagen sawstons computer and a european tour bon jovi edition too, tho i personally am unsure of the correctness of the colour concept part as it has anniversary seats, and as far as i know that was what the colour concept pack was all about the leary leather seats??!!----any way yer shes a 2.0l 8 valve, minor modifications are, drilled air box, scorpion 6 inch oval exit, k&w coilover shock absorbers lowered 110mm front, and about 80mm rear, ebc drilled and grooved discs, green stuff pads, and front tyres run good year eagle f1 dst3 and rears are eagle f1 dst2 machined slicks with hand cut grooves! they dont come cheap at £158 a corner!
i got some sweet ice in the car, with alpine type e door card speakers, sony x-plod 6x9`s on rear parcel shelf, and a pro-plus 12 inch 1000watt sub with a jbl gto400w amp powering the 6x9s and a pro-sound-plus 1000watt amp running the sub, on the parcel shelf is a 15inch lcd monitor, linked up to my alpine ivda310rb dvd head unit, with 7 1/2inch flip up monitor, i think that just about sums up me n me car for now, you will be seeing me about, i have no doubt! lol

that is what good year eagle f1 tyres are, they start life as slick tyres and have grooves cut into them at factory, the higher the dst figure the more grooves you have! dst1s are complete slicks, dst2s are as slick as the law will allow whilst still being safe i.e grooves cut only into the legal 2/3rd of the tyre, and dst3s are rain versions using the original slick tyre, just with lots of rain channels cut in to get rid of the water from benaeth teh tyre!!

Youve achieved that touque and power figure youve mentioned, from just a drilled airbox and exhaust?

yes, i have only owned the car for about 8 months and the exhaust was allready on there, its a standard scorpion cat back system, and the air box has 168 6-8mm holes in there, the cat is still in place, ecu, is standard and so is the engine and flywheel and clutch, next meet im at i will show you the dyno if proof is needed! Smile (even i was impressed as i was expecting about 85bhp at best as it has done 120,000 miles), gets serviced every 5000 miles by me, allways run on optimax and, allways cleaned with out glym! Smile
